Got a whole folder?

Queue up to 500 photos at once

Drop one photo. JPEG blocks and noise are cleaned at the photo's own size before it is enlarged, detail is added after, and the split view shows what changed. Tick “same size, cleaner” to keep the original dimensions. Motion and focus blur are not undone.

Step 1 of 3 · Files

Drop one photo — or a folder to queue.

A directory or a selection becomes a queue with one rule for every picture in it. A single photograph — dropped, picked or pasted — opens the review studio instead, with a before and after at 100%.

Pixels are read and worked in this tab; model files travel to it, never the other way.

What you are shown before anything runs

— and — minutes

files · tiles · milliseconds a tile, measured over real tiles cut from your own photographs a moment ago, and the name of the graph those numbers describe.

The blanks are blank on purpose. Nothing on this page quotes a duration it has not timed on the machine it is running on, which is why the estimate arrives after the set and not before it.

Model weights come from our model file server only when you press the control that names their size. Everything else — the runtime, the decoding, the inference, the archive — is served from this domain and executed here.

What it can and cannot do

First, the limit: motion blur and focus blur are not undone here, and no slider pretends otherwise. What this page does is the part that can honestly be done. JPEG blocking and noise are removed at source scale, before enlarging, so they are not enlarged with the photo; the enlargement is Lanczos3 or a model you choose; and detail is added afterwards with a clamp that stops bright halos on edges. Not sure the photo has detail to bring out? The low resolution to high resolution page measures it first.

What it will not do

  • No deblurring, no colourising, no repair of tears or missing areas.
  • Same size, cleaner is cleaner, not higher resolution.
  • Real-ESRGAN can reshape small lettering; the studio says so when it has run.

Questions about this

Can it fix a blurry photo?
No. Motion blur and focus blur are not undone by anything on this page. What it does is remove JPEG blocking and noise before enlarging, so they are not enlarged with the photo, and add halo-clamped detail afterwards.
What does 'same size, cleaner' do?
It enlarges and cleans the photo at the chosen scale, then brings the result back to the original pixel size with Lanczos3. The file is cleaner at the size it already was; it is not a higher-resolution file, and the page does not call it one.
Why clean up before enlarging?
Because enlarging noise enlarges it too. Clean-up runs on the source, at its own size, and the enlargement starts from the cleaned picture.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Every step runs in this tab. A model file is fetched once from our model file server only if you press the control that prints its size.
